I co-founded a start-up. Business plan is in the work. I still need to work on the financial section. I know I should have a CFO work on it. But I don’t have $$ to pay/hire a CFO. So I get to wear the finance hat too among other roles. Do you know of free finance spreadsheet templates I could download to use? Need to finish biz plan to show potential investors. Can’t show current biz plan as is without figures. Biz plan doesn’t mean anything to investors without 3 year financial planning such as revenue projection, dev’t cost projection, marketing budget projection, potential # of people for hire, other related finance figures of interest to potential investor. Tks for your help in advance!

Is there such thing as free banking for a not for profit? We are not a charity, just not for profit, and looking for the best bank account in terms of low (or no) fees. Some do a year’s free banking but we cannot find any that do completely free banking - does this exist? We were originally tempted by the co-op’s ethical policies but they aren’t so ethical when it comes to allowing Christian groups to speak about what they believe, so that put us off, even though we are not a Christian group. Any advice most appreciated!

I’m starting a business in Costa Rica which requires an offshore bank account. Is it possible to open a business account over the internet with a bank in the Caribbean that doesn’t require a minimum deposit?

I’ve noticed that people usually open an offshore account and start their own company in the Caribbean to avoid paying tax. But is it possible to open a business account with a company started/registered in Costa Rica (not in the Caribbean) instead?

Any information people can provide will be very much appreciated.

I have all my accounts through US Bank although not particularly impressed. National City seems good but I’ve heard they are about to be bought out.
US Bank charges a $39 dollar late fee if you are ONE day late on a payment. National City has a 14 day grace period. I’m rarely late, but prefer customer friendly policies. These are just examples in differences in banks. I’m also looking for banks that offer some kind of perks for small businesses. Good suggestions only please.
